Crystal Bridges Architect: "I hope they feel uplifted."

Along with everything inside Crystal Bridges, the building itself is also a work of art.
When a museum like this opens, the artists featured inside are often not around. Some have passed away, others are just not available. But when you debut a building like this one, the artist behind it had no choice but to here for its opening.
Moshe Shadfi signed on to design Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art early in its existence. And what he made is something the eye will love, from the dual ponds, to the curves in the building, the museum is one of a kind. For the architect, seeing the faces of those enjoying his work is priceless.
"I think that's what you persevere for, for that moment," said Shadafi. "And you know that though their eyes, through their touch. They touch this concrete and say 'Oh, this is like marble, look how smooth, how did they make that, you know. And then when they walk into the galleries, you just feel uplifted, and I hope they feel uplifted too."
Now not all the work is complete, even though 11-11-11 was the grand opening day, some things need still need finishing touches.
