Springdale Public Schools is hoping to educate parents, students and the community about meningitis.

Following the news of an NWACC student who died Sunday after contracting the deadly virus, the district posted a fact sheet that helps identify the symptoms of meningitis to their Facebook page.

They are also urging parents to contact a physician or their county health department if they see these symptoms in a student.

Symptoms of meningitis include fever, intense headache, irritability or listlessness, vomiting and rash.

You can see the whole fact sheet HERE.
