  • Neile Jones 
    Neile Jones bio picBorn in Little Rock, Arkansas, Neile grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She moved to Norman, Oklahoma where she graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism. Before being promoted to the primary co-anchor of KNWA news at 5, 6 and 10 p.m., Neile was the anchor of KNWA Today. Prior to that she was the weekend anchor/reporter/producer for KNWA. She joined KNWA as a Weather Anchor in 1997 after having held positions in both Tulsa and Oklahoma City.

    Neile has a dual Master's degree in Human Resources and Development and Management from Webster University. She works closely with the Ozark affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for The Cure Foundation. In 2005 Neile spearheaded "Team Neile" and help raise over ten thousand dollars to fight breast cancer. As part if her efforts Neile got her first Mammogram on the air to encourage other women to get mammograms. Neile received National recognition from the Susan G. Komen Foundation for her efforts and was awarded the 2005 Cameo award for her volunteerism. She was also named one of Northwest Arkansas 15 Fabulous Females by Splurge Magazine for her work in Northwest Arkansas.  In 2008 Neile has been named a Yoplait Champion for her efforts in the fight against breast cancer.  You can learn more about Yoplait Champions at this web address: http://www.yoplait.com/breastcancer_champions.aspx


    Neile is very involved in the Community and serves as the Media Chair for H.O.B.Y or Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership. Neile serves on the Media Committee for the Ozark Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. In addition Neile is also A Board member for Help Oncology Patients Excel, or H.O.P.E. In 2005 Neile Became an honorary board member for the Peace at Home Family Shelter after becoming more involved in the fight against domestic violence. She was the first reporter allowed to spend two nights in the Peace At Home Family Shelter with a camera. The experience gave her an even more intimate look at families dealing with domestic violence issues.

    Later, Neile swam a two mile open water swim at Beaver Lake to benefit the Peace at home Family Shelter.  She also completed the Hogeye Marathon in honor of the families she met at the shelter. She has participated in several 5k runs and walks to benefit local charities including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Walk and The Kidney Walk. Neile tackled The American Diabetes Associations 20 mile Tour De Cure. She also completed The Tulsa Run, A 15k course to benefit Hospice of Green Country.
