Allison Woods was born and raised in Kansas. She graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications. Before attending Northwestern Oklahoma University she attended Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas majoring in Vocal Music Performance. When she transferred, she decided to pursue her dream as a news reporter.

She was a reporter and a news director for her campus TV station. Although Allison is a Kansas native, she and her three sisters spent each summer in Southern California, visiting her grandparents. She loves to travel and has spent time in 10 European countries and the South Pacific.

While growing up, Allison was very active in community theatre, dance, vocal music and competed in a host of speech contests. Allison is married to her high school sweetheart, Scott, who she met when she was fourteen.

When Allison is not working, she and her husband love to hike, swim, travel and play with their two chihuahuas, ‘Daisy’ and ‘Duke’ and their siamese cat, ‘Coco.’
