Some California communities are offering rebates to residents for synthetic lawns. It's not just a more realistic product bringing more business to the synthetic turf company, . Toby Roy of the San Diego county water authority says with limited water supplies the city needs to be careful with water use. It's why some think a big part of water conservation in san diego-- is beginning to include going green, with synthetic green. Some California counties offer one dollar for each square foot of existing natural grass residents replace with artificial turf. NBC's Catherine Garcia has more in today's Live Green report. |
