(Quincy, Massachusetts) A Massachusetts-based biofuels company today announced breaking ground for an ethanol plant in westcentral Pennsylvania - the state's first.

BioEnergy International is building the corn-based fuel refinery in Clearfield.

The 265-million-dollar facility will produce 100 million gallons of fuel-grade ethanol while opening markets for Pennsylvania farmers and protecting the environment, officials said. The operation is being called Bionol Clearfield.
