U.S. House Representative John Boozman (R) weighed in on the proposed bailout plan and issued KNWA news the following statement:

"I have serious concerns with the administration's proposal to bailout wall street using taxpayer funds. While the need is apparent that Congress needs to restore confidence in the lending institution, the approach to how that should be done is not clear. My colleagues and I cannot be rushed into making such a critical decision that impacts the American economy. We must protect the credit system while protecting the taxpayer."
