Arkansas to be televised at least 15 times in 2013

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The top-ranked University of Arkansas baseball team will appear on television at least 15 times during the 2013 season, including seven appearances as part of the Southeastern Conference television package, released on Friday afternoon.

In addition to the Razorbacks' seven games as part of the SEC television package, Arkansas will make eight appearances on Cox Sports Television (CST) as part of its partnership with the regional cable network. Final selections for the Razorbacks' CST package are being finalized and those games will be announced at a later date.

As part of the SEC television package, Arkansas will appear on the ESPN family of networks three times, including a primetime ESPNU game against Texas A&M on Saturday, April 20, the same day as the Red-White Spring Football Game on campus. Arkansas will also appear on Fox Sports Net (FSN) twice and on Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) twice as part of the SEC television schedule.

CSS and FSN will team up to air each game from the first four days of the 2013 SEC Baseball Tournament at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Ala., May 21-24. The semifinals on May 25 will be simulcast on ESPNEWS and CSS, while the championship game of the SEC Tournament will be televised by ESPN2 at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 27.

"We are pleased that our baseball program will once again gain valuable national exposure through our SEC and regional television packages," Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Jeff Long said. "Our tremendous success on the field and the growing popularity of college baseball continues to provide fans around the country even more opportunities to follow Razorback baseball on television."

In addition to the television schedule, Arkansas also announced game time changes for two games of the San Diego State series. The third game of the series on Saturday, March 9 will now start at 11:35 a.m., while the series finale on Sunday, March 10 will start at 12:05 p.m.

Arkansas opens the 2013 season on Friday, February 15, at 3:05 p.m. against Western Illinois at Baum Stadium. Season Tickets for Arkansas' 34-game home schedule are now on sale. Season tickets are $190 for adults and $140 for University of Arkansas staff, youth and senior citizens. Tickets may be purchased by calling 1-800-982-HOGS (4647) of by visiting the online ticket center at ArkansasRazorbacks.com.
