Viewer Tips Lead to Springdale Theft Arrests

By: Charles Frazier
Updated: March 8, 2013
Springdale Police announced the arrests of four individuals for burglary thanks to tips from the public.
Police say they took reports of multiple burglaries and thefts in the Renaissance Subdivision area as well as others around Springdale in which the suspects stole money, electronics and even firearms from several homes and vehicles.
Police released surveillance photos showing the suspects using credit cards stolen in the thefts to purchase electronics.
Research by detectives led the Police department to the owner of a silver Nissan Xterra that was also shown in the surveillance photographs.
They identified the suspect as Jackson Zink. Police say Zink matched the description of a suspect that a witness saw leaving the scene of one of the burglaries. They were also able to match Zink and his Xterra to the surveillance photographs.
As Zink was being arrested, Police say they began receiving numerous tips about other suspects after local news reported the story.

The tips confirmed the information they knew about Zink and also led them to two additional suspects, 19-year-old Nehemiah Lopez and 19-year-old Dereck Livingston.

Police conducted a search at an apartment on Valley Lake Drive in Fayeteville where Lopez and Livingston were believed to be located and found narcotics and a stolen gun from one of the burglaries.
At that time, Livingston was in the apartment with 18-year-old Emanuel Pena. When police arrived, Lopez fled the apartment but later turned himself in.
Lopez, Pena, Livingston and Zink all face multiple felony charges including residential burglary, breaking and entering and theft of property.

They're all also suspects in theft cases out of Fayetteville and the University of Arkansas.
All four men were taken to the Washington County Detention Center.
The case is on-going and police say there could be more arrests.
