A Bentonville home caught fire early Friday morning.

No one one was home when a police officer spotted the fire coming from the attic at 502 SE D Street around 7:00am.

The fire marshall has not released the cause of the fire but said the home was a 60% loss. A neighbor, Erich Tews, told us the electricity in the home had been turned off  because of a small electrical fire in the attic yesterday the was put out quickly. He said the family had been staying with friends.
