Half-Mile Wide Path of Debris, No Injuries Reported

By: Scott Marshall
Updated: January 29, 2013
Tornado Damage Confirmed in eastern Oklahoma on State Highways 64 & 101, northeast of Sallisaw, Oklahoma and west of Natural Dam, Arkansas. Crawford County Emergency Management tells KNWA there is a half-mile wide path of debris on the 2100 block of Highway 59 near Natural Dam. That's the area where a tornado touched down. No injuries are reported as result of the Natural Dam tornado.

Sometimes these QLCS tornadoes are very difficult to warn on in advance and they can pop up with little to no advanced warning.

The wind shear is tremendous with this weather system. That's the latest from YOUR NWA Weather Authority.
