Updated: March 4, 2013
The Run For Rescue 5K is this Saturday, March 9 on the University of Arkansas campus!

This year, the Freedom Movement at the University of Arkansas is using the Run for Rescue to raise money for Tiny Hands International, a non-profit organization dedicated to help victims of sex-trafficking.

Each person who signs up to run in the race will be given the name of a specific girl who has been rescued out of slavery. Coordinators hope that each runner will write the name of their girl on their racers bib, and run with that girl in mind.

Registration will be at the starting line, located at The Gardens on the U of A campus, on the corner of Razorback and MLK. Registration begins at 7 a.m.

You can sign up for the race online (CLICK HERE), where you will be given the options to race in person or to be a "virtual runner." If you choose to be a virtual runner, you will receive the name aof a girl via email.

You may also sign up the day of the race for an additional $5 ($25 total).

The race will start at 8 a.m. Water, gatorade, and a T-shirt will be provided with your sign-up fee, and there will be prizes awarded after the race.
