Baseball fans braved the cold weather to celebrate tickets going on sale for the 2013 season.
The Northwest Arkansas Naturals hosted FanFest for the second year in a row at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale.
Eric Edelstein, General Manager of the Naturals, said folks used to file down to the park to buy tickets. With the internet making online purchases simple, people stopped going to the ballpark.
So, the Naturals cooked lunch, gave tours, let fans in the dugout and on the field, all to welcome them back to Arvest Ballpark and get the season started.
"We put on events like this througout the year beyond the Naturals games to give us a chance to get to know our fans and give a chance for our fans to know us and know that we're here, ultimately, all for them."
Edelstein said the team enjoys hosting affordable, family-friendly entertainment and was happy to see Naturals fans bundled up at the ballpark.
