A Fort Smith firefighter rescued a two-year-old girl, who fell two stories down a ventilation duct at Immaculate Conception Tuesday morning.
Fort Smith Battalion Fire Chief Mark Talley says the little girl was in the attic of the Catholic school with her mother and fell through some old boards in the floor.
Fireman Joey Sport was able to bring the girl to safety.
He was harnessed and lowered down into the duct to rescue the girl.
Sport says it was a "team effort" and that he was the one wearing the harness, but that there were "10 other guys pulling on the rope" and keeping him secure.
According to Chief Talley, the child was stuck in the duct for 10 to 15 minutes, but wasn't seriously hurt.
