There are some less than lethal weapons you can conceal and carry without a license.

Local tactical shop owners said the type of weapon a person should carry is based on their comfort level of using and carrying the device.

The most common self-defense product is pepper spray. Some brands now spray in a color that will last on skin for more than 24 hours. The aerosol can must be changed out every 6 months or it will lose its ability to spray.

Also, tasers are non-lethal but will effectively stun an attacker upon contact.

Though these items will not kill, law enforcement says they are still dangerous and should be treated as such.
