The first substantial snowfall of the season sent shoppers rushing to resupply Wednesday morning.

"It's pretty crazy," says shopper Kayla Barron. "It's never this busy when I come in here."

Marvin's IGA employee Bryan Huddleston braved the weather to help shoppers load up their cars.

"We like to show them that we appreciate them," he says.

And he had a busy morning thanks to flakes falling outside.

"It's fun," he says. "It makes time go by a lot quicker."

Barron wants to make sure she doesn't have to leave the house over the next few days.

"I do not drive well in general," she says. "Definitely not ice."

But she's happy old man Winter decided to visit.

"It's exciting," she says. "I didn't know if we were going to get any Winter weather this year or not. I thought it was just going to go straight to Spring."

Huddleston says a bit of snow and ice won't stop him from enjoying his job.

"I am a fan of the cold weather, yes sir," he says.
