Outstanding Senior Volunteers Sought

By: KNWA News
Updated: March 8, 2013
Arkansas residents are being asked to submit nominees in the search for Arkansas' top senior volunteer.
Sponsored by Home Instead, Inc., the Salute to Senior Service Program honors the contributions of adults 65 and older who volunteer at least 15 hours a month.
Nominations will be accepted until March 31. The State winners will then be chosen by popular vote at salutetoseniorservice.com. Online voting will take place from April 15 to April 30.
Once the state winners are chosen, a panel of senior care experts will pick the national salute to Senior Service honoree.
Home Instead will donate $500 to each of the state winners' favorite nonprofit organizations. They'll also have their stories posted on the Salute to Senior Service Wall of Fame.
The national winner will be given $5,000 for their preferred charity.
To submit an online nomination form for a qualifying senior and view the contest rules, click here.
You can also mail your completed nomination form to salute to Senior Service, P.O. Bos 285, Bellevue, NE 68005.
