Winter WX on the Way, Know How to Report Outages

By: Amanda Ashley
Updated: February 25, 2013

We're watching another strong system in less than a week that looks to bring some winter weather. Chief Meteorologist Dan Skoff says this is a significant storm, but the brunt of it should miss Northwest Arkansas. But it will pound the Texas & Oklahoma panhandles, Northern and Northeast OK, Southern Kansas and SW Missouri.

Northwest Arkansas could see snow by morning and winter weather advisories will be in effect for the area.Unlike last week's system that had snow, sleet, freezing rain and hail, this one will bring rain Monday, that rain will change over into snow by late Monday night into Tuesday morning.  The changeover will be rapid and the chance of freezing rain is very low.

Our area could see one to three inches of snow with the heaviest amounts being in Northern Benton Co. The snow totals could reach 2 feet in the NE Texas Panhandle, with blizzard conditions and higher drifts. We will update you on this significant winter storm online and on air on KNWA and the Fox News Edge.

We will have updates on your morning commute conditions Tuesday, as well as up to the minute school closures. Meanwhile, if the power goes out where you live, here's how to report it:
