A Bella Vista family was finally able to bring their daughter home from Russia.

We first told you about the Skaggs family in December. After Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a bill banning the adoption of Russian children by American families, the Skaggs were not sure they would ever see their daughter again. But, their prayers were answered.

"The first thing she said was, 'Do I get to go with you?'"

Polina Joy Skaggs is finally in Northwest Arkansas.

"Everything we went through to just finally have her home, I really can't put it into words."

Kendra and Jason have been fighting to bring their 5-year-old daughter home from Russia. After more than a year, they celebrated the happy homecoming.

"It just felt so good to finally go to the orphanage and get her," said Jason.

"Just to be able to see her and to comb her hair and to put her pajamas on and lay down and hold her was a little piece of heaven," said Kendra.

"We brought her all of these balloons... I feel warm and fuzzy and happy inside. I ask myself if this is what true joy feels like," said Carter Tsai, Polina's big brother.

Little princess Polina was greeted by the love of her family Saturday night.

"It's been an emotional rollercoaster for those kids and for everybody involved... Just excited to have a new granddaughter," said Daryl Knight.

And reality, is still sinking in.

"I think she's getting it that we'll be there in the morning when she wakes up," said Kendra.

So with tears of joy and relief, the Skaggs are now a family of four.

"She's home now forever."

When they were visiting Polina in Russia, Kendra said they told her all about the lakes in Arkansas. The first activity they are planning to do as a family is head to Bella Vista Lake with the boys on bicycles, and Polina in a jogging stroller. Grandpa Knight said he would also love to take Polina horseback riding.

Kendra proudly said her daughter can already count to 10, and she knows shirt, pants, socks and 'I love you' in English.
