FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, Arkansas' football home in Fayetteville since 1938, was recently ranked as the No. 5 stadium experience in the country by StadiumJourney.com.

"We are pleased that Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium has been recognized as one of the nation's most exciting college football game day experiences," Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Jeff Long said. "We have the most passionate fans in the country, and they truly make game days in Fayetteville, Little Rock or anywhere else we play special for our student-athletes. We have continued to implement upgrades to our stadium to enhance the fan experience and further our national reputation as one of college football's best venues."

The rankings were based on many aspects of the stadium experience, including food and beverage served, overall atmosphere, the neighborhood, fans, access to and within the stadium and overall return on investment. Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium received high marks for fans, atmosphere and tailgating.

"Razorback fans are incredibly loyal and passionate," the recap said. "You can feel the buzz going around on game days and there is ALWAYS something going on wherever you go around the stadium. There is tailgating everywhere surrounding the stadium."

Arkansas has won more than 66 percent of its games inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, with an all-time record of 166-81-2. Since expanding the stadium to its current capacity of 72,000 in 2001, Arkansas has hosted 24 games with more than 72,000 fans, including the stadium record of 76,808 in 2010 and two games in 2012, with 11 games topping the 74,000-fan mark.
In addition to increasing capacity, the 2001 expansion and renovation project included a brick and glass faade, an expanded press box, the addition of luxury suites and enclosed premium seating. In 2012, the university unveiled a new video display on the North end zone scoreboard. Measuring at nearly 38' x 167' the display is one of the biggest in college football and gave the stadium a true high-definition video display area with the actual width exceeding HD resolution.

The Razorback fans' next opportunity to cheer on the team inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium is the Red-White Spring Game on April 20. Arkansas plays five games inside the stadium in 2013, beginning by hosting Louisiana-Lafayette on Aug. 31 in the season opener.
