Some skilled skaters hit the ice in Bentonville.

The Arkansas Figure Skating Association hosted an exhibition at Lawrence Plaza just off the square Saturday morning.

Kayla Church has been performing since she was seven and teaching for the last three years. She realizes how ice skating has made a huge impact on her own life.

"I've never really found a sport like football and basktball and all those things, I just was never good at and this, I just finally found a passion for it... It was just one of the most fun things I've ever done and it takes a lot of practice, but when you get to perform in front of all these people, it's just so much fun."

The event was free and open to the public.
