FAYETTEVILLE -- Signing day isn't until Wednesday, but any other team in the country will be hard pressed to pull off a recruiting coup like the one Arkansas landed with 5-star running back Alex Collins Monday night.

Collins, rated by some as the #1 running back in America, announced he will sign with new head coach Bret Bielema and the Razorbacks on national signing day. Collins, a South Florida native, was recruited by Bielema and his staff at Wisconsin but many expected him to stay home and play for Al Golden at the University of Miami.

Collins didn't even consider Arkansas until Bielema was hired in December and is the highest ranked running back Arkansas has landed since Houston Nutt inked future first round pick Darren McFadden in 2005. Collins has all the physical attributes needed to be an immediate contributor in Bielema's run first offense.
