School District Takes Action Before Bus Driver Arrested

Springdale School District put bus driver on administrative leave after deputies tipped them off to child porn arrest.

Springdale Transportation Director Dana Samples tells us he was notified on February 5th that deputies had executed a search warrant that found pornographic images of children on George O'Dea's computer.

After talking with his superiors, he immediately put O'Dea on administrative leave.

Samples says since investigators had already searched O'Dea's property, the district didn't need to explain to O'Dea why he was being put on administrative leave.

In order to get a job as a Springdale bus driver, a criminal background check has to be completed. Samples tells us O'Dea passed both the Arkansas State Criminal Background Check as well as an FBI Background Check.
