The council signed a letter of intention to do whatever it takes to keep their team.
Council Member, Paul Gray says, "We now know there is a city that wants to compete with us and try to take the Wranglers, which we love here and is a valuable asset to our community and basically what we have to do is send a message to them that it`s not going to be an easy task to take one of our community assets away from us."
The council plans to meet with those in charge of the team to figure out what their needs might be.
The council is also expected to hire a consultant later this month to look at making improvements to the field and stadium.
