Road Crews Ahead of Schedule

By: Kyle Leyenberger
Updated: June 11, 2012
Benton county road crews are ahead of schedule, thanks to warm weather and better practices, and the County Judge wants to keep crews working.

The Judge wants to pave several dirt roads that need an upgrade, as well as performing maintenance on streets that are a few years old.

The work requires some extra cash, and the county's finance committee already approved an extra $500,000 for the projects.

The increase must be approved by the Quorum Court before it is final. The Committee of 13 plans to discuss the plans on Tuesday night, and it could come to a vote at the Quorum Courts meeting on the last Thursday of the month.
