Three People Arrested After Trying to Run From Bentonville Police

Three people were booked into the Benton County Jail Saturday, after trying to run from Bentonville police.
Investigators say Ethan Strickland, 20, Makayla Kalagias, 19 and Scott Morrow, 20, sped away when an officer attempted to pull them over for traffic violations.
At one point during the chase, officers say the driver of the truck pulled off the road and turned off the headlights in an effort to hide from police. When the officer spotted the truck and stopped, police say the truck reversed quickly almost hitting the patrol car.
Benton County Sheriff's deputies and Pea Ridge police officers were called in to help during the pursuit.
The chase ended when the truck the three people were riding in hit a tree.
However police say the driver backed into a Bentonville police car in a final attempt to escape.
According to investigators, the damage to the car was minimal and there were no injuries.
All face multiple felony charges, including aggravated assault and fleeing.
