Drivers ignored high gas prices, filling up Wednesday afternoon before road conditions worsen.

The Valero on the corner of College Ave. and LaFayette St. filled up with customers as the first wave of snow fell.

Craig Steinfeldt says $3.64 a gallon is a small price to pay for peace of mind.

"I live up on beaver lake so I certainly don't want to be in a ditch and not have enough gas to stay warm if need be," he says. "You take it and you move on."
