Senate Passes Bill to Increase Contributions to School Employee Health Insurance

School employees could soon have a little more cash in their pockets.

Senate passing a bill today that would require school districts to contribute an additional $19 per month for each employees health insurance.

Raising the amount form $131 to $150.

The current contribution rate has reamed the same since 2004.

Right now about 100 districts around the state already pay the proposed amount.

The bill-- now on its way to the house for approval.
