Springdale Police have arrested a man in connection with a weekend shooting.
33-year-old Marcos Mendoza faces a charge of attempted murder in connection to a shooting Saturday in which the victim, Antonio Jimenez, was shot in the leg.
Jiminez had initially reported the incident as an attempted vehicle robbery, but the investigation revealed that the shooting actually occurred at a residence on Garnett where Jimenez, Mendoza and Mendoza's wife had argued over accusations of cheating.
Police say Mendoza reportedly shot Jimenez in the leg before placing the gun against Jimenez's forehead and telling him he was going to kill him.
Police say Jimenez knocked the gun away as it discharged and then fled in his vehicle.
The investigation is on-going.
