Pea Ridge Community Library Relocates

"This has been a long time coming," says Mayor Jackie Crabtree.
Crabtree says the old library just wasn't big enough, and when Mercy of Northwest Arkansas donated a building to the city, local contractors and other community members stepped up, volunteering time and elbow grease to help complete the project.
Even the moving company offered to help for free, and Crabtree says it's no surprise that the people of Pea Ridge were willing to lend a hand.
"Our folks, when they see a need, they get behind it and help," he says. "We're really proud of em."
The move is only expected to take one day, but it will take a few more for librarians to get things ready. They plan to open the new location next week.
