The Senate on Tuesday gave its unanimous approval yesterday to the final version of legislation that will rollback the state tax on groceries from six-percent to three-percent. The House approved the bill earlier. According to the Arkansas Policy Foundation the tax cut will save a typical family just over 230-dollars a year. Governor Beebe is expected to sign the legislation tomorrow or Friday.
