Mall Moves to Rogers

By:
Updated: April 17, 2007
Rogers` traffic and rapidly growing population appealed to the mall, despite the fact that the business won`t have as much space as before. The Grapevine Mall now has fifty-six thousand square feet to work with instead of eighty-eight thousand square feet. The mall has one-hundred vendors and hopes to open by Friday. Growing cities like Rogers and Bentonville is an opportunity some businesses in smaller cities can`t pass up. Tom Ginn at the Rogers-Lowell Chamber of Commerce says larger cities offer more traffic and higher income levels which translates into more shoppers and better business for retail type stores. Ginn says many factors determine a business` decision to move, it`s important for the business to be a good fit in that particular area and that they have room to grow. The Grapevine Mall was only open in Tontitown for one year before making the move to Rogers.
