Last fall sixty six students relocated by hurricane Katrina came to the University of Arkansas. This semester eighteen have decided to stay. One of those students is Morgan Harper. Harper attended Dillard University in New Orleans. After hurricane Katrina Dillard closed its doors for the fall semester. Recently the University reopened. Students were encouraged to come back. Harper says going back now would be too difficult for her.
"It would just be too stressful and nursing school is stressful enough as is." Harper said, "I found a lot of new friends. I`m going to stay and graduate from here"
Harper said the hospitality people showed her when she got to fayetteville helped her make her decision to stay. She plans to graduate with a nursing degree in May 2007.
