Police Investigate Apartment Death

By:
Updated: April 17, 2007
The body was discovered at the Law Quad Apartment Complex located at 107 West Sycamore Street. Neighbors say they noticed police arrive at the apartment around 2:30 Saturday afternoon and with guns drawn they entered Apartment # 1. A few minutes later, officers came out, taped off the area and called in special investigators. Right now, the Fayetteville Police department is very tight-lipped and neighbors say they don`t know what happened either. "I don`t know what happened, and I just don`t know who even lives over there," says resident Bryan Powell. But he says he is shocked this could happen where he lives. "It`s generally pretty quiet. Its a nice complex; theyve just recently done some improvements. Im shocked something like this would happen." Police won`t tell us anything about the victim either, but neighbors did tell us a white female in her twenty`s lived in the apartment. They say she had been living there only six months. One neighbor told us she believed the victim was last seen on Thursday.
