Community Meeting

By:
Updated: April 17, 2007
Thursday night the property owners of the Law Quad apartment complex held a `community meeting` in an effort to answer some of the questions concerning Nina Ingram`s death. Mansfield Property Management teamed up with the Fayetteville Police Department, the Crisis Center and the University. "It`s shocking and suddenly everything that you thought would never happen to you seems so real," said resident Darla Wright. Residents at the apartment complex said they are concerned for their safety after Ingram was found murdered Saturday. Thursday night residents had the opportunity to address their concerns at an open meeting. "We don`t feel safe going outside anymore or opening the door after dark, everything is changed," said Wright. "We`re definately locking our windows and doors every night," said Lindsay Edwards, a three year resident. The Fayetteville Police Department was on hand to provide safety tips-- but wouldn`t comment on the investigation. The lack of information on the case frustrated some residents. "I don`t feel more secure, I thought there would be more answers to questions and there wasn`t," said resident Nicchi Tyree.
