Updated: January 7, 2009
The Voice of the Razorbacks, Paul Eells, was killed in a car accident Monday night in Russellville. Eells was headed East bound on Interstate 40 when his vehicle crossed the median and hit another vehicle head on, killing that passenger. Eells was driving back to Little Rock after making a trip to Fayetteville earlier that day. The 70-year-old broadcaster has been with KATV and ARSN for 28 years and was gearing up for another season in the booth, as Arkansas` play-by-play radio announcer. Eells is one of the state`s most recognizable and liked people and will truly be missed.
