12 year old Tom Schaar is flying high. He's believed to be the first skateboarder ever to land a 10-80, that's three rotations in the air. He accomplished the feat after just a few attempts, and then went on to do it a second time! Schaar is in 6th grade, and measures just under 5 feet tall.
Some impressive pups showed their stuff over the weekend at the Purina "Incredible Dog Challenge" in Atlanta. The K9's competed in Olympic-style events, like agility. Other challenges included diving, hurdle racing, weaving and freestyle flying disc.
A group of sixth graders in Oakland, California help clean the same lake every Thursday but last week, instead of just cigarette butts and old potato chip bags, they found sunken treasure. They discovered a bag full of gold coins, watches, silver and antique jewelry. The class turned the loot over to police, who will try to find the rightful owner. If it's not claimed in 90 days, the treasure goes to the students.
