Police arrived at the Links at Springdale apartment complex around 4 A.M. Saturday.
"When they got in front of building 4150, they noticed a female in the parking lot. It looked like she was injured, they checked on her and found her to have a gunshot to the head," said officer Chris McCarville.
Officers say Yreena Eguia was alive but unconscious when they arrived.
Investigators say 20-year-old Akaphong Somee-- believed to be Eguia`s boyfriend, shot her after the two got into some type of argument.
Investigators say it appears the couple began fighting inside the apartment and then moved outside into this parking lot.
Somee fled the scene after the shooting.
Paramedics took Eguia to Northwest Medical Center where she died two hours later.
Investigators say they have information that Somee may have a stab wound in one of his legs from the altercation but should still be considered armed and dangerous.
Some additional information that could help identify Akaphong Somee: Investigators say he was wearing baggy jean shorts, has a pierced left ear and two tattoos. One on his left shoulder and another on his right forearm.
If you have any information on his whereabouts please call the Springdale Police Department at 751-4542.
