Children's Safety Center Receives Donation

By: Marissa Stevens
Updated: April 12, 2012
The Children's Safety Center in Springdale is now filled with Beanie Babies!

According to Tina Beaulieu, Springdale High School's Law Academy contacted the Beanie Baby company, and in return 600 brand new stuffed animals were donated to the Children's Safety Center.

"I can't tell you what it means to me...Every child that comes to the Children's Safety Center leaves with a brand new bear. It makes the kids feel so wonderful that they leave with something new," said Tina.

She also says the students chose to do this all on their own, out of the goodness of their hearts.

And just a reminder, April is Child Abuse Awareness month, so if you suspect any abuse please call the Arkansas State Child Abuse Hotline at (800) 482-5964.
