"When I was heading up towards the finish line I collapsed in a man's arms and I lost short term memory. I still don't remember what happened," Tiffany said. "I remember waking up on the ground and there were already IVs in my arms and oxygen in my nose. Paramedics told me I didn't finish the race. I was confused. So, I told them to let me finish the race. So, they decided to push me across on a stretcher and everybody was cheering. I crossed the finish line and they brought me straight to the hospital."
This year, Tiffany wants to finish the race on her own two feet. She also has another reason to finish the Hogeye. She is running for her friend.
"She was killed in a car accident back in November," Tiffany said. "I've been training with a little ribbon on just to remind me to run the race with perseverance and keep my eye on the finish line."
