Arkansas' Energy Star Appliance Rebate Program is Over

A state rebate program designed to encourage folks to buy energy efficient appliances has run out of money.

In a press release, the Arkansas Energy Office said the Energy Star Appliance Rebate Program is officially closed as fund have been expended.  They said the program, which started in March of 2010, has distributed around 31,000 rebates at a value of more than $7.6 million.
