Police say they were called to the Sonic on N. Greenwood Ave just after 11 p.m. Monday. The manager-in-training told police he was getting a ride home from his brother and placed a bank bag in the passenger seat of his car while he tossed boxes into the dumpster. Police say a black man stepped out from behind the dumpster, pointed a gun at the manager, and took the bank bag out of the car.
The manager told police the man climbed into the passenger side of a white four-door passenger car believed to be a Toyota before speeding off. The manager and his brother followed the car for a short time before the two men got away.
Police say they're looking for a black man, about 5'6" and 135 lbs. and wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, red and white tennis shoes believed to be "Air Jordan's," and a red bandana covering his face. Police say the driver is a heavy-set black man who may have had dread-locks.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Fort Smith Police Department.
