George Zimmerman offers up an apology and another Nicholas Sparks novel brought to life on the big screen. It's the top stories trending online in The Pulse.

The so called "pregnant man" is splitting with his wife. People.com is reporting that Thomas Beatie announced the separation during a taping of "The Doctors." Beatie is known for being the  first legal male to give birth.  He was born a woman, then legally switched, but still had his female reproductive organs. On the talk show, Beatie also revealed he's finished his female to male gender reassignment surgeries.

In his first public statement since the death of Trayvon Martin, shooter George Zimmerman offered an apology to the Florida teen's parents.  At a hearing Friday, a Florida judge set a $150,000 bond for the former neighborhood watchman who's accused of shooting the unarmed Florida teen.  Once he's out, he'll be required to wear an electronic monitor and check in with authorities every three days.

Another Nicholas Sparks novel is being adapted for the big screen."The Lucky One" featuring Zac Efron hits theaters on Friday.

'The Band' lead singer Levon Helm still trending after his tragic death on Thursday. A statement from former president Bill Clinton was posted on Helm's Facebook page today saying "I was saddened to learn of the death of my fellow Arkansan Levon Helm. Levon was one of America's great musicians...he will be deeply missed".

Today is the day set aside for marijuana activism but there was no celebrating at the University of Colordao in Boulder.  Officials put down fish-based fertilizer on the lawn of the popular gathering place for an annual marijuana smoke-out. They're hoping to deter students this year, after more than 10,000 people, including non-students, attended the event last year.
