Arkansas-LSU Game Moved to Day After Thanksgiving

The University of Arkansas football team will end its 2012 regular season on Friday, Nov. 23, against LSU in a game televised nationally on CBS, it was announced Wednesday.

The Razorbacks and Tigers are set to square off in the annual Battle for the Boot on the Friday after Thanksgiving for the second year in a row and the 15th time in the last 17 years. Arkansas has won three of the last five meetings between the two teams, including two straight at home.

The LSU game is the final of eight in-state contests on the 2012 schedule and will be played in Fayetteville for the first time since 1992.

Arkansas begins the season Sept. 1 by hosting Jacksonville State inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. In addition to LSU and Jacksonville State, the Razorbacks are also set to welcome to campus Alabama on Sept. 15, Rutgers on Sept. 22, Kentucky on Oct. 13 and Tulsa on Nov. 3. UA will host Louisiana-Monroe on Sept. 8 and Ole Miss on Oct. 27 inside War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.
