An Arkansas man, motivated by NBC's The Biggest Loser, dropped more than 160 pounds. He shared his story with KNWA's sister station in Little Rock.
Read the inspiring letter Daniel Garza, of Pine Bluff, sent to KARK:
"Hi,
My name is Daniel Garza.
I am from Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
About 2 years ago I went to Nashville, Tennessee to the Wildhorse Saloon to a casting call for the Biggest Loser in hopes that I would get on the show.
Unfortunately I didn't make it on there.
So I come back home and told myself that I was going to do this on my own.
Weighing in at 323 lbs I said it's time to do something, it's time to get this off of me.
So I joined the gym and began a diet that was life changing for me.
Over the bumpy two years of my life of trying to fight myself each day to do
right and lose the weight I finally made it. I am now down to 160 pounds and
feel great.
It's amazing how everything changes inside your body after
losing a tremendous amount of weight.
I now know what it took to do
what I've done.
I have empathy for anyone that is overweight and is
trying to lose weight.
I love to be and inspiration for all that is out
there trying to lose weight and become a healthier person."
