Benton County Embezzlement Investigation

The Benton County Sheriffs Office has requested help from Arkansas State Police in a possible embezzlement case.
According to the Sheriff's office -- a routine audit of the County Clerks Office turned up some suspicious activity.
Investigators say --so far more than 40,000 dollars is missing but that number could grow.
According to deputies, a former county employee, Christine Southard, Is the main suspect and could face multiple theft of property charges.
