Benton County Inmate Dies in Jail

A Benton County Inmate was found dead around four o'clock Thursday morning.
According to Captain Chris Sparks of the Benton County Sheriff's Office, deputies discovered 52-year-old Faith Whitcomb lying face down in her cell.
Deputies say they called 911 and performed CPR until emergency crews transported the woman to Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. Whitcomb was pronounced dead at the hospital.
While it's not considered a suspicious death, the sheriff's office and Arkansas State Police are investigating, and an official autopsy will be performed.
