Police responded to the scene of a bicycle versus vehicle accident at 2:45 p.m. Upon arrival, they found 18-year-old Bianca Spears, who told police she was riding her bike inside the "Bike Lane" against traffic on Park Street near the Grove Street Park. She was met by a large black SUV with a white male driver. Ms. Spears said she struck the curb with her bike in an attempt to avoid collision with the SUV. However, the SUV struck the front "stunt peg" of the bike throwing her head first over the bike and onto the pavement. The SUV fled the scene going southbound on Park Street. The SUV has a silhouette of an Arkansas Razorback on the back window.
Ms. Spears sustained multiple abrasions, and was transported to Northwest Medical Center by the Springdale Fire Department.
