Michael Phelps Retirement Plans
Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps says he's ready to enjoy life out of the pool.  Phelps  told "60 Minutes" about his plans to retire once the summer games in London are done.  His coach admitted there was a period when he wasn't sure if Phelps would even make it to London.  If he can earn three medals this year, he will retire as the athlete with the most medals in Olympic history.

Andre 3000 to Play Hendrix
Andre` 3000 is set to star in the upcoming Jimi Hendrix biopic "All is By My Side." According to rollingstone.com, the film will focus on the time Hendrix spent in England during the early part of his career.  John Ridley, who wrote the 1999 hit film "Three Kings", will write and direct the project.  The film is reportedly in pre-production in Wicklow, Ireland.

George Lindsey Dies at Age 83
George Lindsey, best known for playing the country bumpkin mechanic "Goober Pyle" on "The Andy Griffith Show," has died.  Lindsey joined the sitcom in 1964, and carried his character over to a spinoff series, "Mayberry, R.F.D." Lindsey also spent 20 years as a regular on "Hee Haw."  In a statement, Andy Griffith said he had great respect for Lindsey's talent and spirit.  Lindsey passed away after a brief illness at the age of 83.

Jayson Werth Added to Injured List
Washington Nationals Jayson Werth has been added to the injured list.  Werth suffered a broken left wrist while attempting a sliding catch of a fly ball in Sunday nights game. He had surgery Monday and is expected to miss at least 12 weeks.

Phillie Gets Suspended
Philadelphia Phillie Cole Hamels earned himself a  five game suspension for the way he welcomed Bryce Harper to the big leagues. Hamels  was suspended for intentionally throwing at the Washington rookie in the Philadelphia Phillies' 9-3 win over the Nationals on Sunday night. Major league baseball announced the penalty Monday. Hamels also was fined.
