According to Justice of the Peace Barbara Fitzpatrick, Citizens for Effective Transit and a man named Coleman Taylor filed an injunction to keep the measure off the May 22 ballot.
The quarter-cent sales tax would pay for expanding public transit.
The citizens group claims the county did not follow proper policy in regards to the issue, but Fitzpatrick said the tax increase proposal was done by the book.
Citizens for Effective Transit requested a hearing on the matter in the next five days.
